The LBA Map attempts to address all of Oxnard’s concerns in a manner that respects and addresses Oxnard’s apprehensions while still allowing the County to produce two Latinx majority districts.
Ice Out of Ventura County
A grassroots coalition of community organizations and individuals working towards a common goal: ending the Ventura County Sheriff Office’s voluntary cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and keeping Ventura County immigrant families and communities together.
PUBLIC SAFETY RACIAL EQUITY AND ADVISORY GROUP
The Public Safety Racial and Equity and Advisory Group was established by the Ventura County Board of Supervisors in November 2020, with the enactment of a resolution codified in the Ventura County Ordinance Code.
It was passed in support of forming the new group when they unanimously approved a resolution declaring racism a public health crisis following months of local protests and calls for social justice.
